The Rwanda Stock Exchange,
in your pocket

Biba Neza means “sow well” in Kinyarwanda. Today, the site explains the Rwandan market: what is listed, what it costs, and how a securities account is opened. Biba Neza is neither an exchange nor a broker.

What's coming

The Rwanda Stock Exchange API is expected in December 2026. Four features follow right behind it, in January 2027. A fifth, order transmission, does not depend on that API but on an agreement with a licensed broker, so it carries no date.

Investing on the RSE, in three steps

1

Open a CSD account

The central depository holds securities in electronic form. The account is opened through a broker licensed by the CMA.

2

Go through a licensed broker

Only a licensed intermediary can buy or sell on the RSE. The order goes to them directly, not through Biba Neza.

3

Receive dividends and coupons

They are paid into the Rwandan bank account attached to the CSD account, after withholding tax.

Worth knowing before you go further

Biba Neza is neither an exchange nor a broker

Biba Neza executes no orders, holds no securities and has no signed partnership with a licensed intermediary. The site gathers public information about the Rwandan market.

Information phase until October 2026

Portfolio visibility and fractional investing both depend on access to RSE data and on a decision by the regulator. The timeline is set out on the About page.
